At my studio, I bring together years of experience as a professional multi-instrumentalist, jazz performer, and dedicated music educator to create lessons that are genuinely inspiring, supportive, and tailored to each individual.
I believe every learner -child or adult – has a unique musical voice waiting to be discovered, and my teaching style focuses on nurturing that individuality through creativity, confidence-building, and solid musicianship.
Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, returning after a break, or aiming for top-level exams and auditions, I offer a kind, patient, and encouraging environment where you’ll feel motivated to grow. With tuition available in clarinet, saxophone, flute, piano, violin, music theory (jazz and classical), and GCSE music, I help students move beyond the notes and develop real musicality, expression, and enjoyment.
Music should feel personal, empowering, and fun – and I’d love to help you start (or restart!) your musical journey with lessons designed around you.

My Qualifications
I hold a degree in music, performance diplomas in clarinet and saxophone, and multiple Grade 8 certificates across a range of instruments. Alongside my musical qualifications, I am first aid trained, fully licensed and insured as a music teacher through the ISM, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate—ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, care, and safety for your child.

My Experience
I trained and performed as both a classical and jazz musician with the Royal Marines Band Service, building a strong technical foundation and musical discipline. I then went on to perform as a jazz musician with many big bands, where creativity, collaboration, and expressive freedom shaped my approach. Throughout this journey, I continually developed my teaching style to ensure that every musician who comes to me receives thoughtful, inspiring, and truly top-level tuition.

My Ethos
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all lessons—instead, I tailor every session to each learner’s personality, goals, and musical interests, helping them grow with confidence and real enjoyment. My background in jazz brings a deep understanding of creativity and expression, while my ongoing training (including my ARSM teaching diploma) ensures that my teaching is both modern and high-level.

I was inspired to start my business after seeing how deeply music can transform people—especially when I first began teaching my own children and their friends. Watching their excitement, their confidence grow, and the joy they found in expressing themselves reminded me why I fell in love with music in the first place. I realised I wanted to create a space where anyone, at any age or stage, could experience that same sense of discovery and empowerment. Turning that passion into a business felt completely natural: a way to share my professional experience, my love of teaching, and my belief that everyone deserves the chance to make music part of their life.
Why People Choose Me:
What I love most about my job is watching students discover their own musical voice—those moments when something clicks, confidence grows, and they realise they’re capable of more than they thought. Whether it’s a child playing their very first clear note or an adult returning to music after years away, being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding. I get to see curiosity turn into skill, nerves turn into expression, and music become a source of joy and pride. Helping people find that spark—and knowing I’ve supported them in doing something meaningful and creative—is truly the best part of what I do.
