Saxophone – up to LRSM level
Clarinet – up to LRSM level
Flute – up to grade eight level
Piano and Violin – I am currently only taking on beginners.

Degree in Music
Performance Diplomas in Clarinet and Saxophone
Various other grade eight certifications on different instruments
Former professional musician for many years, including the Royal Marines Band Service and studying at the RMSM.
My professional experience in the Royal Marines Band Service, combined with my training at the RMSM and extensive work with professional jazz bands, has deeply shaped me as both a musician and a teacher. The discipline, precision, and high standards of classical training provide a strong technical foundation, while the freedom of jazz has taught me the value of listening, creativity, and musical conversation.
Through improvisation, I encourage students to move beyond simply playing the notes and instead develop confidence, individuality, and their own musical voice. By drawing on both structured musicianship and expressive freedom, I help each player find and follow their own musical path with clarity, curiosity, and purpose.
